F.A.Q. SECTION

How long have you been taking photographs?
I developed an interest in photography in High School, were I learned to develop black and white film and the fundamentals of photography. I received my my first camera - a Canon - as a Christmas gift in 1983 . I won a couple of newspaper contests in grade 11. Photography took a back seat to school where I earned a diploma in Business from Mount Royal College. Now that my children are older I find that I have the time needed to develop my love of photography.

What do you like to photograph the most?
I really enjoy sports photography. I average 7000 photos during minor hockey season. One of my goals is to be able to take sports photos for a local newspaper. When I am not taking photographs at sports events, I enjoy taking landscape photos especially on Vancouver Island, BC and in Flin Flon, Manitoba.

If I see a photograph on your website am I able to order a copy?
Yes, you are able to place an order for any photo on my website. If you have a particular interest and you like my work, I have thousands of photos in my database that I can show you via email.

Where do you reside?
I currently live in Calgary, Alberta Canada. But I have lived in Ontario, New York, and The Netherlands. I have had the good fortune to travel to 25 countries mostly in Western Europe.

What kind of camera do you have?

I recently bought a Canon 50D and my favorite lens is my 70-200mm - 2.8. This lens is great for taking sports photos in arenas that do not have much light.

Are you still running SAFE - Stuffed Animals for Emergencies - Calgary Chapter and accepting stuffed animals?
No to both questions. Just a bit of background information; I started an non-profit organization in 2008, where I collected, cleaned and redistributed gently used stuffed animals to children in need called SAFE - Stuffed Animals for Emergencies Calgary Chapter. By the spring of 2010 I had donated 9,000 stuffed animals to children in Calgary and surrounding areas, this program grew too big for one person to handle and I could not find an organization of to take over the coordination of SAFE - Stuffed Animals for Emergencies. If you are interested in coordinating SAFE Calgary please contact myself or directly to Stuffed Animals for Emergencies website.

Do you have any suggestions where I can donate Stuffed Animals in Calgary?
Yes, I can suggest a few places. Please make sure that your donation is clean and in good condition. If you are washing the stuffed animals please make sure that they are completely dry before putting them into a plastic bag. If they are not completely dry they will begin to mold. Ty beanies, Webkinz and Build A Bear wash up beautifully and are worth taking the time to clean and donate. Where to donate: 1) Kids Help Phone "Share a Bear" program accepts bears all year and are used by the Calgary Police Service Victim Assistance Unit. They ask that the bears be about 18" in height and length and have no logos or clothing. You can drop off your donation to any Maxwell Realty location in Calgary. 2) The Magic of Christmas accepts donations at Christmas time only. Please google them closer to Christmas for more information. You can check out their website www.themagicofchristmas.org 3) Our Lady Queen of Peace, a camp outside of Bragg Creek for underpriviallged children accepts more than stuffies please check their website at: www.ourladyqueenofpeaceranch.com 4) Stephen's Backpacks accepts donations as well, please check their website www.stephensbackpacks.com 5) Calgary Humane Society will accept stuffed animals visit www.calgaryhumane.ca for more information
